Road Signs

I almost ran over a guy in the middle of my street this morning when I left for work. Luckily he was wearing an orange reflective vest as he was surveying so I swerved to the right.

When I turned onto my street this evening I saw odd bright pink markings on the tarmac at regular intervals leading up to a lane a couple feet apart bordered by long pink stripes. Either someone was decorating or there's possibly going to be some road work delays in my future.
