Lucky, Lucky, Lucky

I am a lucky, lucky girl. Last night I went to set up my DVR to record the NLCS Game 5 but it wasn't on the schedule yet so I thought I'd wait and do it in the morning. I forgot. And Jeff Weaver was starting. And I knew I wasn't going to be able to leave work early today. So when I realized this, I resigned myself to missing the game. But it was postponed, due to rain. Yea!!! Lucky, lucky me! Weaves is still scheduled to start in the game tomorrow so I'm setting up a recording right now.

  1. That is cool.

I saw that there is a rumor that the Raiders may be looking to move Randy Moss. I would love to see a straight up trade with Dallas for T.O. I know Randy has his own set of issues but I think he has always wanted to play for Dallas and prove to them that they should have drafted him.

  3. I got to see Weaver bat once and pitch and inning or two. He looked really good. The announcers were talking about how much money he is making for himself with his post season performance.

  4. Did you notice that it is impossible to get 5 of 5 on the "Match Up" today? They have jargon and lingo as the answer to argot and no answer for gobbledygook but the program does not allow you to have more than one answer for a word.

  5. buddhageek said, "Hey you know Jeff Weaver is Breezy's favorite pitcher." And again, it was all clicks and whistles. Glad you got to see him, though!

  6. It's a good thing I have 'geek to talk sports with. I don't know what I'd do otherwise. Have to make some friends, I guess.

Weaves was awesome last night. My DVR worked (well, it only quit twice and picked up again once it was back on so I only missed a tiny bit). When the Cards went up 2-0 I was hoping it wouldn't be the same story as Game 1 but the St. Louis bats came through and Jeff even got the win. More importantly, they're up 3-2 in the series. Let's see if they can clinch it tonight in New York.

  7. I'm not getting the same words you are, 'geek. I have "girth" and "singlet"...and yes! I got 100% (5 out of 5)!
